Five For Friday: "The Valley" Recruits

It seems like the Missouri Valley Conference is on the tip of everyone's tongue these days. Having said that, "Five For Friday" previews a few kids who should make their presence felt in the league next season.

Should "The Valley" get five bids into the NCAA Tournament? "Five For Friday" thinks that a bit much but the league has caught the attention of the national media and is capitalizing on its recent success. The increased exposure should boost recruiting for the next few seasons.

While you watch "Arch Madness" this weekend, here are some names to file away that you'll be reading about next season and beyond!

BTW, you know this is a tough list to crack when Southern Illinois signee Josh Bone, who is in pursuit of his 4th state title, barely misses the cut.

Best Incoming Recruits In The MVC

Arbry Butler, Wichita State
Probably didn't have the senior send-off he wanted but this young man has a live, athletic body and should be able to come in and block shots early in his career.
Bobby Hill, Illinois State
As Porter Moser will welcome an athletic wing player with a history of winning. Hill's Vashon team is always nationally ranked and he's used to winning games.
Jordan Eglseder, N. Iowa
"The Valley" doesn't have too many 7-0, 265 pound giants but Northern Iowa has one on the way. As a junior, this guy averaged 25 points and 14 rebounds.
Kenny Lawson, Creighton
This guy probably could have been successful at a high-major program. In his last high school game he hit for 23 and 13 in a playoff setback. Expect big things.
Osiris Eldridge, Illinois State
A huge adidas Camp performance led to a big summer which in turn set the stage for a senior season in which he was a first-team all-public league performer!
