Roburt Sallie knows what it's like to battle for playing time and it's not that he doesn't want to do it, but the Sacramento native is hoping to get somewhere he can play right away - and he's made his choice.
After playing on a pair of loaded teams over the past two seasons at Laurinburg and Patterson School (N.C.), playing time was important to Roburt Sallie
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from Sacramento, Calif., who had signed with Washington a year ago but failed to qualify academically, has committed to Nebraska.
``He wanted to go somewhere he could contribute right away," Patterson coach Chris Chaney said. "He felt comfortable with the coaching staff and feels the program is on the way up."
Sallie will also join former Laurinburg teammate and backcourt partner Jamel White, who excelled this past season as a freshman in Lincoln.
``Roburt has a great basketball IQ and is a big-game player," added Chaney. "The bigger the game, the better he plays. He's done a lot for us over the last two years and is definitely ready for college."
