Nate Miles Finds New Home

Changes abound for Nate Miles. He's left Toledo - and also opened up his recruitment after Xavier got an early pledge.

Nate Miles has left Toledo and is back on the board.

In what was the best move for the one-time Xavier commit, the 6-foot-5 junior has landed at Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, Texas) and is expected to see his first official game action of the season this week.

``He got here about a month ago and he's been great," Webb said. "He's been doing everything he needs to do. He's been a great addition to our school as well as our program."

``He's re-opened his recruitment up," added Webb. "He felt that he made the commitment a little premature. He wants to play in the ACC or in the Big East."

Miles, who began the season at Toledo Libbey (Ohio) before transferring to Toledo Waite, opted to leave the distractions in favor of a fresh start.

Miles averaged nearly 20 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season as a sophomore at Libbey.

This year, Miles, who wasn't allowed to play at Libbey or Waite, has played in one exhibition game, according to Webb.

``We sat him out so far, but we're going to play him in the nationals," Webb said.

Webb also said that Miles, who has put on about 10 pounds and now weighs 167, will likely play with Hal Pastner's Houston Hoops program this spring and summer.

``He can really score," Webb said. "He's talented and can score from any position."

``He needed to get out of Toledo," added Webb.
