Badgers Pick Up No. 2 in 2004

Bo Ryan has a hot hand. The Wisconsin head coach is now the owner of two commitments from players in the Class of 2004. On Wednesday, Ryan added a guard to join big man Greg Steimsma.

Flowers Picks Badgers

Michael Flowers, a shooting guard from Madison (WI) LaFollete, committed to the Badgers. He joins 6-10 big man Greg Steimsma in the Badgers 2004 recruiting class.

We had a chance to watch Flowers in action last month at the Spiece Run ‘n Slam where he played shooting guard next to Dupree Fletcher with DTA Wisconsin. He appears to be a natural scoring guard with a nice frame. He did a nice job creating scoring opportunities for himself.

Flowers helped his high school team capture the state championship last season.

The early commitment, UW's second in the Class of 2004, is significant. Since Ryan's arrival, the Badgers have begun successfully recruiting higher caliber athletes into the program. Steimsma is a star and Flowers can score.

Great start to the Class of 2004.
