2007's Hill On Path To The SEC

The state of Georgia is loaded – again – and one SEC program already boasts a foursome of commitments, including a pair of in-staters. Junior wing Walter Hill couldn't pass up a chance to play in the SEC.

Dennis Felton is extremely close to putting the finishing touches on his recruiting … for 2007. The Georgia Bulldogs head coach landed his 3rd commitment of the year this week and he didn't have to leave the borders to get it done.

Walter Hill, a 6-foot-3 20-point per game scorer out of Gainesville (Ga.) East Hill, committed to the Dawgs after considering South Carolina and Alabama.

"It's Georgia because I just like the way they're going with their program," Hill told Scout.com. "I wanted to get it over with and didn't want it to get too crazy."

Mission accomplished.

Hill, a veteran of the Atlanta Celtics organization, is no stranger to winning on the high school level. The accomplished wing said those winning ways will help him in Athens.

"Year in and year out we try to play the best schools with the Division I players and that just gets me more prepared for college," Hill said.

The wing joins guard Keegan Bell and centers Jeremy Price (Top 50 Scout.com) and Martavius Adams in Felton's 4-deep 2007 recruiting class. Hill could occupy two positions during his time in Athens. "They said I'll be a shooting guard and small forward because they're basically the same position."
