D.J. Gay Update

D.J. Gay, a junior point guard from Sun Valley (Calif.), is getting interest from some Pac-10, Big 12 and WAC schools...

D.J. Gay, 6-0 JR PG Sun Valley (Calif.) Poly, had a very good junior season. Gay was among the leading scorers in Southern California and his recruitment has picked up with several high major programs starting to show interest in him.

We spoke with Gay yesterday and asked him about the schools that have been expressing interest.

"Iowa State, Oregon State, Stanford, Nevada and Northern Arizona are some of the new ones," said Gay.

We asked Gay what he is looking for in a school.

"Someplace where I can play early," said Gay. "I wouldn't mind going out of California."

When asked if there are any schools he'd like to hear from, Gay replied, "Arizona State and Oregon."

Gay told us he has a 3.8 GPA and he'll take the SAT in April.
