Jimmy Goffredo, 6-0 SG La Crescenta (Calif.) Crescenta Valley, has a pure stroke with excellent range. He's an exceptional student -- scored 1320 on the SAT last year -- and he's hearing from Princeton, Yale, UC Santa Barbara, Pacific, Loyola and Davidson, among others.
Goffredo said that while it would be nice to stay near his family, he's wide open to any possibilities at this point. "I'm going to look at the style of basketball," Goffredo said. "I'd prefer a more structured kind of offense. And then the coaches and the overall atmosphere will be important." He went on to say, "my parents like the Ivy League and their input will be a factor."
Goffredo doesn't anticipate a decision anytime soon. "I would like to get it over before my senior season starts," Goffredo said.
Goffredo hasn't taken any official visits yet, but he will take an unofficial trip to Loyola this week.
The Pump camp, the Three Stripes tournament, Big Time and Best of Summer are all on Goffredo's itinerary in July.
