Darquavis Tucker Favors Trio

Darquavis Tucker is out to show people he can do more than just jump. The junior wing wants to showcase a refined perimeter game.

Darquavis Tucker wants to show people he's transformed himself in the past year.

``My strength is still getting to the basket, but I can shoot the three much better now," said the ultra-athletic 6-foot-5 junior wing at Saginaw Arthur Hill (Mich.).

Tucker will travel with his Michigan Hurricanes teammates to Pittsburgh later this month and then to Dallas for the Next Level Ballers tournament.

``I really want to get in the Top 10," Tucker said. "And get to the McDonald's game."

Tucker wasn't enamored with his junior campaign, but he averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds – and led his team to a Class A state title.

Now he'll continue to work on the consistency on his perimeter shot – and also try and figure out where he wants to play his college ball.

For now, Tucker said that Michigan State, Louisville and Illinois are his trio of leaders.

``I'd like to get it done by the end of the summer," he said.
