Thomas Staying Home

Isaiah Thomas is making his decision public this afternoon, but take a look at where the pint-sized, high-scoring junior guard is headed.

Curtis High (Wash.) scoring machine Isaiah Thomas is staying home.

The 5-foot-8 junior guard will make it official at 3:30 p.m. PT on Thursday afternoon when he will choose his hometown Washington Huskies at a news conference.

Thomas also considered Georgetown and Indiana, who had been recruiting him prior to Mike Davis' departure.

"It came to me yesterday (Monday)," Thomas told "I've just been thinking a lot, thinking about what would be best for me. I think Washington. The program, the school, everything about it...the coaches...that would be the greatest thing I could do for the next four or five years after my senior year."

Thomas averaged 32.8 points per game this past season and cracked the 40-point barrier four times and had at least 50 twice. "I got down to it, and thought about where I want to be," Thomas added. "Washington is a great place and it's better because it's close to home and my family can always watch me now. It's somewhere I want to be...the environment, everything about it. I just love it. U-Dub was the best place where I could showcase my skills and get them to a level they haven't been to yet."
