Thomas Staying Home

Isaiah Thomas is making his decision public this afternoon, but take a look at where the pint-sized, high-scoring junior guard is headed.

Curtis High (Wash.) scoring machine Isaiah Thomas is staying home.

The 5-foot-8 junior guard will make it official at 3:30 p.m. PT on Thursday afternoon when he will choose his hometown Washington Huskies at a news conference.

Thomas also considered Georgetown and Indiana, who had been recruiting him prior to Mike Davis' departure.

"It came to me yesterday (Monday)," Thomas told Dawgman.com. "I've just been thinking a lot, thinking about what would be best for me. I think Washington. The program, the school, everything about it...the coaches...that would be the greatest thing I could do for the next four or five years after my senior year."

Thomas averaged 32.8 points per game this past season and cracked the 40-point barrier four times and had at least 50 twice. "I got down to it, and thought about where I want to be," Thomas added. "Washington is a great place and it's better because it's close to home and my family can always watch me now. It's somewhere I want to be...the environment, everything about it. I just love it. U-Dub was the best place where I could showcase my skills and get them to a level they haven't been to yet."
