Ebi Scores 35; South Loses

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Of the 21 players involved in the North-South game, 12 of them scored in double figures. Five players scored 20 or more points and two guys hit for 20 or more. Ndudi Ebi led the way with a game-high 35.

Both Teams Post Huge Numbers

Aided by a 24-second shot clock and four 12-minute quarters, the North and South hooked up in a no-holds barred shoot out. The final score: North 146, South 138.

South power forward Ndudi Ebi led all scorers with 35 points and a session-high 16 rebounds.

On the other side for the winners, super prospect Shannon Brown was dynamite in scoring 32 points; including an 11-14 effort from the line. We didn't watch the game, but every time we caught a glance, Brown was making something positive happen.

TJ Bannister handed out a session-high 9 assists. Andrew Lavender was his usual self scoring 28 and giving out 5 assists. The difference in this one, at least on paper, was 3-point shooting. The North shot 15-33 from downtown while the South connected on just 7 of 29 attempts.

NOTES – North center Brian Butch is in for a long weekend. The big man has asthma and the altitude is taking its toll on him already. He played a team-low 13 minutes but scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. … North forward Ivan Harris scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his team's win. … Minor and Ebi combined to take 47 of the South's 110 shots. …
