Nardi Names Schools On His List
Michael Nardi, St. Patrick's rising senior point guard, is all about business. To hear him talk of college choice, you know he's a serious baller. When asked about what was the most important criterion for his choice, his answer was simple: "Personnel," Nardi said.
"You don't want to go into a situation where the team has young guards." See, Nardi is all about getting on the court early and often. That kind of a trait is common in players like him. This is a young man who is like a fish out of water without the ball in his hands. Nardi runs the show. That's who he is and what he does.
He's a leader.
At the USA Basketball Youth Development Festival, Nardi played behind Sebastian Telfair and alongside Chris Paul. That's not exactly the utopian situation the he talks about when making a college decision. Despite the crowd, he was able to distinguish himself. He averaged 14 points with 20 assists in five games to go along with 9 steals.
Speaking of colleges, Nardi has a few he likes. NC State and UConn are right there at the top of his list. Villanova and Pittsburgh are also firmly entrenched in the mix. Stanford, Florida State and DePaul have recently been in touch.
