Cameron Headed To Big East

Joey Cameron has found a new home. The former Auburn power forward is ready to put in work in the Big East.

Bobby Gonzalez at Seton Hall has a new power forward. This week, Gonzalez landed Joey Cameron, a 6-foot-8, 250 pound power forward out of Leeds, Ala., by way of Auburn.

"He's going to enroll in classes for the summer session in June," Cameron's former high school coach Mike Turner said.

Michigan and Temple kept tabs on him regularly since the transfer was announced. However, Cameron felt Seton Hall was the program that would be utilize his attributes.

Last year at Auburn, Cameron played sparingly, averaging 2.3 points and 2.7 rebounds for Jeff Lebo.

"I think Bobby Gonzalez is a great guy and a super coach wherever he's been," Turner said. "He's gotten kids at Joey's position in the league and some thought they were marginal players. Joey's very excited about the opportunity."

Gonzalez landed Top 100 guard Eugene Harvey last week.
