2007 Introduction: Adam Malik

Adam Malik, a 6-6 small forward from La Canada, has drawn attention from Big West and WCC programs...

Adam Malik, 6-6 JR SF La Canada (Calif.) High, is an intriguing prospect with good ball skills. Malik has a nice stroke out to the stripe, as well as the ability to pass and handle the ball like a guard. He needs to improve as a rebounder, and play a little more physical game, but he does have a high skill level.

We spoke with Malik yesterday and he told us that three schools have been expressing interest in him.

"San Francisco, UC Santa Barbara and Pacific are the main ones," said Malik. "San Francisco has been out to my school three or four times."

When asked what he is looking for in a school, Malik said, "A respected school where I can get a good education. I'm willing to go anywhere."

Malik said he isn't in a hurry to choose a school.

"I'm going to think it over and see what offers come," said Malik.

We asked Malik if he had a favorite school growing up.

"Stanford was my favorite," said Malik.

Malik told us he has a 3.3 GPA.
