Venoy Overton, 5-11 JR PG Seattle (Wash.) Franklin, is a talented lefty with a nice shot and solid play-making ability. He's a good athlete and he's a good finisher in traffic. Overton is among the top handful of point guards in the west for 2007.

We spoke to Overton recently and asked about the programs he's been hearing from to date.

"Washington and Wake Forest are really the top two right now," said Overton. "I really like Lorenzo Romar. He's a great coach and he's turned around that program."

We asked Overton what he is looking for in a school.

"A winning tradition, playing time as a freshman, a good team -- someplace where they have a family-type team with a good bond," said Overton.

Overton told us that he's not sure yet about leaving the west or staying closer to home.

We asked him when he might make his decision.

"I'll probably wait until my senior year," said Overton. "I want to see what happens after the tournaments and Vegas -- wait until after July.

When asked if he had a dream school growing up, Overton said, "I liked Arizona."
