We spoke with McCollum recently and asked him about the programs that he is interested in as of today.
When asked what he is looking for in a school, McCollum replied, "I'm interested in becoming a veterinarian, so that's one thing I'd look at," said McCollum. "Early playing time isn't something I'd really look at. I feel you should have to earn your playing time and it should be based on how you work. I also think I want to stay in the west."
When asked if he had a favorite program growing up, McCollum said, "I always wanted to go to Arizona. It seemed like it was a good school."
We inquired if he had a sense of which schools are showing the most interest at this time.
"Washington and Arizona are recruiting me the hardest," said McCollum.
McCollum doesn't see himself making an early decision.
"I'll probably wait until my senior year to pick a school," said McCollum.
