Eric Wallace Makes Decision

The assumption all along was that Eric Wallace would wind up in the ACC and that's ultimately what would up happening. According to sources, the Hargrave-bound and former Glenn High (N.C.) standout wing made a decision and is headed to the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Eric Wallace is making decisions.

The 6-foot-6 Glenn High (N.C.) 6-foot-6, 200-pound junior swingman recently decided to head to Hargrave Military Academy (Va.) this season. He'll remain in Virginia for his college ball after committing to Dave Laitao and the Cavaliers.

Wallace did not immediately respond to calls, but according to sources close to Wallace and the Virginia program, he gave UVA a pledge after attending their camp last weekend.

``I haven't had an opportunity to speak with Eric, but some of my guys talked to him and he told them he committed to Virginia this past weekend," Glenn coach Lee Reavis said.

Wallace, who plays with D-One Sports in the spring and summer, is a player who has been on the national radar for a long time. North Carolina was in the mix at one point and N.C. State and Wake Forest have also tried to keep the strong and athletic Wallace in the state.

Wallace averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game this past season.
