Wake Forest Adds Third Recruit
Jeremy Ingram, a 6-3 guard out Kinston (NC) High, committed to Wake Forest on Thursday.
"The decision was easy," Ingram said. "It's a great academic school with a great basketball tradition."
In committing, Ingram becomes the third player from North Carolina to commit to the Deacs this year. He joins one of the nation's best PGs in Chris Paul and big man Todd Hendley. Ingram is already familiar with them.
"I feel great about the recruiting class," Ingram said. "Chris Paul and Todd Hendley will be coming in with me. They are great guys on and off the court."
Our sources indicated that Wake Forest had been heavily evaluating Ingram the past few days in hopes of reaching a decision on whether or not to offer. Certainly the Deacons were impressed with Ingram's athleticism.
For Ingram, it was just a matter of getting the offer. "I realized that it was the place for me when I visited campus and on the way back my dad was driving and I was thinking. My mom gave me the feedback I needed and that's when I made my decision."
He picked the Deacons over offers from East Carolina, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.
Now, look for Wake to close out its recruiting class with a big man. We think Will Sheridan is right there at the top of the list.' By talking to Coach Prosser I think that they are looking for a big guy to finish off this recruiting class," Ingram concurred.
