Porch Has Two Favorites

The small forward from Colorado, Antonio Porch, who went to the Nike Camp and was the #4-ranked small forward in our pre-July rankings, tells us he has two schools that are leading for his services...

Antonio Porch, 6-6 SR SF, Denver (Col.) Denver East, said he'd like to get his decision over with failry soon and he currently has two favorites.

"Wyoming and New Mexico are my favorites," Porch said. "They've both been showing a lot of interest. They both have offered. I like the coaches at both schools, they seem like nice people, and I like what's happening with both programs."

Porch, who averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds as a junior, said he's also hearing from Colorado and Colorado State, who also have offered. Kansas is a bit of a dream for him, and he said they've showed a little interest.

Getting it done soon is a priority for Porch. "I don't want to wait too long. I'll probably take my trips by September and decide by then."

He said that both Wyoming and New Mexico are good locations for him. "I don't care too much about going away. But I don't want to go away too far."

The #1 thing that Porch is looking for in a school? "Being comfortable there," he said. "The kind of people you're going to be around and spend the next four years with. It's whether or not I feel at home and what kind of life I could have there after I graduate."

Porch said he carries a 2.8 GPA and scored a 920 on his SAT.
