Falls Is A Big East Player

Colin Falls. Sounds Irish doesn't it? Good, because the sharp shooting perimeter gun from the Illinois Warriors had made his college choice.

Falls Picks Notre Dame

Colin Falls, a shooter out of Loyola Academy in Illinois, selected the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish on Friday.

"Coach Brey called a couple of nights ago and I just felt really comfortable with him," Falls said. "I called him today and told him that I decided to go there."

According to Falls, the finalists were Notre Dame and Northwestern. DePaul, St. Louis, Boston College and Stanford were also in the mix, though the Cardinal had yet to offer.

Falls averaged 24 points a game as a junior. He's a 3-year all-conference player and a member of the IBCA all-state team. He picked Notre Dame, in part because of the comfort level he shared with Brey.

"I think I would have though about [going to Notre Dame if Brey wasn't there]," Falls said, "but I don't really know. Him being there made it a lot easier for me. I really respect him as a coach."

Falls will conclude his summer travel as the best shooter on the Illinois Warriors team and will play in the Super Showcase and then at an event in Kansas City later in the month.
