Knutson Favors Pac-10 Program

Kramer Knutson is a relatively unknown senior post prospect from Arizona. We caught up with him recently and he told us he's receiving interest from programs in the Pac-10, as well as the Ivy League....

Kramer Knutson, 6-8 SR C Mesa (Ariz.) Dobson, didn't play in the spring and, as a result, hadn't received much exposure heading into July. However, Knutson had a solid showing during the evaluation period and he has several schools expressing interest in him as this time.

We spoke with Knutson last night and asked about the schools that have been in contact with him since the end of July.

"Stanford, Cornell, Southern Utah, Columbia and a few others," said Knutson.

Asked if any school leads for him at this point, Knutson replied, "probably Stanford."

Knutson told us that Stanford assistant coaches Donny Guerinoni and Nick Robinson have been handling his recruitment so far.

"Coach Johnson may be coming down to see me in September for a home visit," said Knutson. "I might also go to Stanford in September for an official visit."

When questioned about the issues he'll consider when making his decision, Knutson said, "I'll look at academics first, then the basketball and someplace close to home."

Knutson told us he currently has a 3.7 GPA.
