2007 Introduction: Bo Henning

Bo Henning wasn't on the recruiting radar of very many schools heading into the summer. But Henning, who might play either guard spot in college, was very immpressive in July and he has seen his recruitment heat up since then...

Bo Henning, 6-2 SR PG/SG Sacramento (Calif.) Christian Brothers, is a bit of a sleeper who wasn't seen much prior to this year. Henning wasn't out much in previous summers because he also plays baseball. However, Henning had a very good showing in July and he has interest from a wide variety of schools.

We spoke with Henning recently and he told us about the schools that have contacted him since July.

"Boise State, Pacific, Cal Poly, Portland, Portland State, Navy, Penn and Colgate," said Henning. "Sacramento State has offered."

We asked Henning if he has any favorites yet.

"I'm probably leaning a little to Pacific, Boise and Cal Poly," said Henning. "But I'm really wide open with my recruitment. I'm still listening to any schools that recruit me."

When questioned about the factors he'll consider when making his choice, Henning said, "My dad and I talked about it. I'm looking for a good education and the chance to play early. Somewhere that has good coaches and a family atmosphere. Location isn't really important."

Henning has talked with all of the schools on his list about setting up official visits, but doesn't have any dates yet.

Henning told us he has a 3.0 GPA. He said he hopes to sign in November, but will wait until April if he doesn't find the right fit by the fall.
