Paye Favors C-USA Program

Sei Paye, a solid guard prospect out of Houston Strake Jesuit, has a leader and recently took an unofficial visit to one C-USA program.

Dave Dickerson sat in the stands for one of Sei Paye's games in Las Vegas at the Main Event. Paye's AAU team was at a decided disadvantage against the powerful Metro Hawks. The Tulane coach then watched as Paye dropped the game-winner against the boys from New York and recently, had the chance to speak with the prospect on his campus.

Paye took an unofficial visit to Tulane last week and came away impressed. "They were great and really friendly," Paye said. "They were the best thing about Tulane really. I was actually close to committing right there. I just felt really comfortable around them and we had great conversations. I feel like I could talk to them about anything at anytime. It was great."

From the sounds of it, Tulane leads, right? "It was great and they are my No. 1 school that has offered me a scholarship." The Green Wave, Liberty, Jacksonville, UTSA, American, Air Force and Long Island have offered. UNLV, Vanderbilt, Rice, Boston University, SMU, Louisiana Tech, Northeastern, Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts are going to see him in September.

The 6-foot-2 guard out of Houston Strake Jesuit has a top five. "My Top 5 out of all the schools that have offered and haven't are UNLV, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Liberty and Eastern Kentucky." Paye said Rice is really in there but since they're close he won't need an official visit.

Paye said UNLV would like him to come in and play the point in college, which is attractive.

Paye's birthday is Nov. 23 and he'd like to commit on that day.
