Malcolm Lee In No Hurry To Decide

Malcolm Lee is one of the elite point guards in the country and he has numerous top programs involved in his recruitment. We spoke with Lee recently and he told us he's in no hurry to make a college choice...

Malcolm Lee, 6-3 JR PG Riverside (Calif.) North, is a terrific prospect with a considerable upside. While there are good arguments for other West Coast guards in 2008, we currently have Lee as our top-rated point guard prospect in the west. He does need to fine tune his decision-making, and clean up his overall ball skills, but we'll go with Lee for now due to his upside.

We spoke with Lee recently and asked him about the programs that have been in touch since the end of July.

"Georgetown, USC, UCLA, Illinois, Washington, Stanford, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Cal and Gonzaga are some of them," said Lee.

We asked Lee if any programs have offered a scholarship.

"Washington, USC, Texas A&M and Arizona State have offered," said Lee.

Lee is in the process of arranging some unofficial visits.

"I went to Georgetown on the 6th, "said Lee. "I was visiting my family and so I went by there. I liked it a lot. And I'm supposed to go to Washington sometime during the football season."

Lee talked a little about the issues he'll consider when making his choice.

"A winning tradition, a fast style of play and good coaching," said Lee. "I want to go someplace where we can win."

Lee said he doesn't see himself making a decision anytime soon.

"I probably won't decide until after next summer," said Lee.
