The former St. Mary's (N.Y.) standout, who is headed to Bridgton Academy (Maine) for a year in the prep ranks, committed to N.C. State.
``I like the offense they run, the coaching staff and the facilities," said the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Green.
Bridgton Academy coach Whit Lesure also confirmed the commitment.
Green got a chance to see the campus back when his older brother, North Carolina sophomore wing Danny Green, took a visit to N.C. State. However, the Wolfpack didn't recruit the younger Green until Sidney Lowe took over a few months ago.
``He's a nice kid and plays hard, particularly on the defensive end," Bridgton coach Whit Lesure said. "He makes plays as a scorer and a passer. He'll fit in well here for us."
While Danny Green is more of a perimeter player, Rashad is more aggressive in taking the ball to the basket and is also a tenacious defender.
