Team Florida shooting guard Jason Rich's back is feeling better at the end of the month than it was at the beginning. Rich, a skilled athlete and just a junior, is making a name for himself in Orlando. …Old Dominion has themselves a good one if foreign power forward Valdas Vasylius. He's got great hands and competes. … Tallahassee Wildcats shooter Franklin Young rediscovered his stroke early in the tournament but couldn't find it again today. …

We know two things about Renaldo Balkman of the Tallahassee Wildcats: he's a very good defender and a terrific offensive rebounder. We'd put him in the Brandon Foust category of offensive rebounders, though he doesn't always finish with a slam like Foust. … Speaking of Foust, we've said all summer long that his athleticism impacts games. Well, it happened again. Late in the fourth quarter against the Georgia Stars, he threw down a dunk off a miss and the next thing you know All-Ohio is tied and they are on their way to the victory. …

BABC guard Wll Blaylock wasn't really helped by his teammates in the semifinals. Repeatedly, Blaylock would get into the paint and dish only to have shots left on the rim by his friends. … We didn't get a chance to see him here but apparently Cecil Kirk big man Josh Boone is having a fine event. If you recall, Boone was a qualifier this year but has opted to attend prep school.

The Arkansas Wings Vakeaton Wafer was at it again yesterday. He hit for 23 in his final game of the evening. … In the second semifinal, a fine mid-major prospect emerged right before our eyes. The Kappa Magic's Brandon Setzer played the best game we've seen all year. He never once backed down against Courtney Sims, stood his ground and scored. Setzer's willingness to compete was a major reason Kappa will play for the title. …
