Grant Wastes No Time In Deciding

Jerai Grant couldn't wait. He just had to commit because one ACC program completely swept him off his feet during a weekend official visit.

Jerai Grant, a 6-foot-8 power forward/center is headed to Clemson University. Grant's uncle played at Clemson and his father attended the school briefly. This past weekend, during an official visit, Grant figured Clemson to be the ideal place to spend the next four seasons.

"I had already been to Clemson and I knew about their program," Grant said. "When me and my mom went down there not only did they confirm everything with me but they succeed our expectations and I felt so comfortable with them I almost had to commit."

The DeMatha Catholic product was strongly considering Marquette and was also eyeballing Oklahoma, Notre Dame and North Carolina State. Despite having other trips on tap, Clemson's visit was good enough to set his mind at ease.

"I just love their program. They are so close, not just the basketball team but the whole school. They are so close. They are like a huge family. It's like DeMatha except it's a college and there are girls."
