Ole Miss Gets Its Guy

Zach Graham is the perfect type of player for Ole Miss first-year head man Andy Kennedy. He was somewhat overlooked, but he gets after it - and is one of the toughest players in the Class of 2007. The Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) two-sport star is now off the board.

Andy Kennedy got his guy.

The new Ole Miss head coach made Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) High forward Zach Graham a priority through the summer and the two-sport star committed to the Rebels after a visit a couple weeks ago.

''No. 1, when I went down there, the people were really cool,'' Graham told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. ''I really like the people there. Coach Kennedy and coach White, it really felt good being with them. I could tell all of the coaches were real and that I could trust them.''

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Graham, also a standout quarterback, is an aggressive player who does a lot of work in the paint despite giving away size. He still needs to develop his perimeter game, but one coach compared him to Bonzi Wells because of his aggressiveness getting to the basket.

He's able to knock down shots from mid-range with consistency and gets to the basket and finishes well.

Graham averaged 20.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and also considered Alabama, Georgia, Virginia Tech and Charlotte.
