Gradnigo Moving Toward Fall Decision

Chris Gradnigo, a small forward out of Louisiana, hits the visit trail later this month. Two Big East schools and a member of the SEC are giving chase, along with a host of others.

Chris Gradnigo, now a senior at Lake Charles (La.) LaGrange, isn't quite a household name but that doesn't mean he isn't a high-major prospect. Last summer, while playing with Houston Elite, Gradnigo's scoring ability was on display and for his work he's setting up official visits this fall.

On Wednesday, Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin was joined by Colorado State at a workout. Gradnigo hopes to visit the Bearcats for Midnight Madness.

The small forward told that his first trip is to Arkansas, Sept. 22. After that he visits Notre Dame the next weekend. He's looking at South Florida, La.-Lafayette and Colorado State as well. Last year, he averaged 21 points a game.

"I'm a 3 but they say that with my shot I could be a two guard," Gradnigo said of his college prospects.

The big decision for him is literally stay or go? Stay home at a local school or venture out of town. "I really don't know (about a leader) because I haven't made up my mind if I'd like to go far or stay close to home."

As for being under the radar, Gradnigo isn't concerned. "I'm not worried about it. Eventually I'll get mine. It just inspires me to work harder."
