Nutter Stays Close To Home

Seton Hall won't spend a ton of cash on traveling during the high school season. As of Monday, the Pirates own a pair of commitments from 2003 Garden State prospects. This time, Louis Orr opted for a guard.

Nutter Picks Pirates

On his way back from Hawaii, Jamar Nutter knew it was time to decide. "I was thinking why it's taking me so long to commit," Nutter said. "I've liked Seton Hall for a while. I know the campus and the players. I felt like it was a good fit for me."

Nutter said he also looked at Rutgers and Villanova. The Wildcats took a commitment from Michael Nardi last week so there was no roster room for Nutter.

Last year at Seton Hall Prep, Nutter said he averaged 15 points a game. He's not sure who role he'll play for the Pirates. "I haven't talked to [Coach Orr] yet in that perspective."

Nutter has talked to a pair of AAU teammates. He says that he would like Terrence Roberts and/or Darryl Watkins to join him in South Orange.
