Hudson Sets Official Visit Dates

The line to nab shooting guard Dorenzo Hudson begins with Virginia Tech. The Hokies are the first school in a string of official trips that will lead Hudson to a November signing.

Dorenzo Hudson is going to sign in November and he's taking steps toward ending the process by setting up his official visits.

The 6-foot-4 native of the Charlotte area wanted to try and limit his list and get this thing rolling toward a decision.

"It was getting a little too big. It was about time to trim it and make a decision," Hudson said.

The official visit process begins with Virginia Tech, the weekend of Sept. 29. In succession, beginning the following weekend is Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State and Maryland. The Terrapins visit is not set in stone and has not been finalized.

Illinois remains on the list and Miami, which cancelled a visit with Hudson earlier in the month, is no longer in the picture.

Ok, so what's it going to take to lure's No. 51 prospect, and top-rated available shooting guard to campus? Simple.

"Basically they just have to tell me how they fit in the program and how they'll use me at the school."

Hudson is currently at Hargrave Military Academy and was an all-state performer last year in N.C. when he averaged 21 points a game.
