Johnson was on an official visit to Oregon State this weekend. Coach Johnson talked a little about the reasons for Johnson's commitment.
"He really enjoyed himself," said Coach Johnson. "The kids at Oregon State really accepted him with open arms. They told him, 'we're gonna need you next year' and that was big for Omari."
Coach Johnson went on to say, "Omari wanted the opportunity to play in the Pac-10 and compete against top players."
Johnson also considered Wyoming, USF and Long Beach State, among other programs, before reaching his decision.
