TCU Lands Nimitz Standout

Blake Adams, a 6-4 all-district shooting guard from Houston (TX) Nimitz, committed to Texas Christian.

For weeks speculation existed in regard to Adams and Texas Christian. "I don't know how everyone knew," Adams said. "I guess they just figured since the head coach was at every event … they just figured TCU would get me."

Adams attended the 2002 Nike All-American Camp. He averaged 15 points a game last year. Adams said that he considered Virginia, Marquette and Arkansas. However, clearly TCU recruited him the hardest. At one time, Oklahoma State was thought to be a major player.

Adams said that TCU continues to work on Texas Lanny Smith.
