Taybron Has Two Choices To Make

Mario Taybron, a combo guard with Boo Williams, has a week or so to make a decision. No, not a college decision but a decision on where to attend prep school this fall.

Taybron Weighing Options

Combo guard Mario Taybron has two decisions to make. First, he needs to choose a prep school to enroll at. Then, he can worry about college.

‘'Right now we're undecided [on prep school]," Taybron said. "Either Ryan [Academy] or Notre Dame. I'll do that probably this week or next week sometime."

Meanwhile, on the college front, Taybron also has more than one option. He has offers from Clemson, Virginia Tech, St. John's and DePaul. Oklahoma, UConn, St. John's and Charlotte are interested.

Oklahoma? Yes, the Sooners have a connection. Jason Detrick is from his area and they play together in the summer. "They want to come see me and they want to keep talking to me."

So far, Taybron has visited Charlotte, James Madison and East Carolina unofficially. He was scheduled to make a stop at Virginia Tech, but that didn't happen.

"I'm trying to go somewhere where my family can see my play and I can contribute." Clemson, DePaul and St. John's are pushing for official visits.
