Playaz Standout Picks C-USA School

Sean Banks' weekend got kick started late Friday afternoon. According to our sources, that's when the wing scorer decided on his college.

Memphis Lands Another Blue Chipper

Kendrick Perkins has a blue chip roommate headed with him to Memphis. According to our sources, Bergen Catholic scorer Sean Banks committed to the Tigers on Friday. That's two Top 20 players in the same week for the Tigers.

"I just like Coach Cal," Banks said. "He showed more interest than anybody else in the open period."

Last year, Banks averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds as a junior for Bergen Catholic. This spring, he was terrific with the Tim Thomas Playaz, especially at the Tournament of Champions where he truly exerted himself as a scorer. On a team loaded with talented players, Banks managed to stand out. For his efforts, he'll rank among our Top 25 players in the Class of 2003; Perkins figures to be in the Top 5.
