Lucas Enjoyed UK Trip

Kentucky had itself quite a visit list last weekend. From Patrick Paterson in 2007 to Scotty Hopson in 2008, the Wildcats were showing off for the talent at Midnight Madness.

Jai Lucas visited Kentucky but he wasn't alone this past weekend. Tubby Smith's crew invited Lucas, Patrick Patterson and A.J. Stewart to town. Representing the Class of 2008, Scotty Hopson, one of the Bluegrass State's top prospects.

If our information is correct, Stewart is set to pick Kentucky early this week. The other guys on the visit? Well, the seniors still have visit plans to other programs.

Lucas is going to Oklahoma State this weekend and then sees Maryland before finishing with Oklahoma. Patrick Patterson has Virginia on the 28th and Wake Forest the following weekend.

"They set the bar that other schools have to live up to."

There's been chatter about Lucas and Patterson teaming up in college. We asked Jai about that sort of conversation during his recent visit. "We talked about it because we were out there. Me and Pat had been talking about it before the visit. I didn't really know A.J. before the visit. We spoke on it but nothing was really said (during the visit)."

From Lucas' perspective the visit to UK couldn't have gone any better. "They set the bar that other schools have to live up to. They really know how to set up a visit for that everything goes real nice."

As nice as UK's trip was, Lucas isn't deviating from his master plan. He's taking all his scheduled trips. Plus, naming a leader isn't possible at this time either. "I can't really say because I've only been to one place (officially). I can't really give you a leader yet."
