Buck Jenkins, Cantinol's AAU coach with Inner Strength, sees a young man who won't reach his potential until at least a year into his college career. At that point, Jenkins likes his player's chances.
"I think as a young guy his biggest strength is the fact that he's coachable. He'll learn from the seniors and he'll soak up a lot from those guys. He's a big body and as a sophomore he'll be ready.
"If nothing else, he's 6-9 and 240. He's going to pick up a lot as a freshman and by the time he's a sophomore he'll be ready to step in and help lead Ole Miss."
Jenkins said Cantinol wanted a spot where he could get better and test himself against good teammates and competition, steadily looking to improve.
"The fact that Ole Miss is in the SEC was something that was important to him. He and I both believe that he can complete at that level and he wanted a situation where he'll be challenged every day."
