Hold that thought.
We first heard about the Kentucky Wildcats possibly bringing Anderson in for a visit late last week. Rumors began swirling over the weekend while Anderson on Florida's campus that UK could get a trip.
"It's still in progress," Junction City coach Joe Hammett told Scout.com. "It's not definite yet but he's considering it."
Where in the world did the Wildcats come from?
"They called on and off back in the spring," Hammett said. "I'd say it was late summer before they really started recruiting him. It was the end of the summer before they wanted to offer. They haven't been in there as long as the rest of them."
But they're trying.
Hammett said right now Anderson has four he likes with the Cowboys being the fourth official trip. After the Cowboys visit, Anderson will take the ACT the following weekend making the first weekend in November the absolute earliest a visit (if it were to happen) would be possible.
"(After the visits are over) he'll sit down and make a decision," Hammett said. "I know he's enjoyed things from each school he's seen so far but he's not ready to say anyone leads until he sees all of the schools."
The question now remains: do "all of the schools" include Kentucky? Only if they can work in a visit date.
