Are You Kidding? Hoyas Strike Again!

Jason Clark couldn't help himself. He saw what John Thompson III is doing and had to be a part of it.

Serious question for you: who's hotter Georgetown or Indiana?

What's happened at those programs in the last week has been fever pitched in terms of recruiting.

The Hoyas, who happened to land outstanding point guard Chris Wright (2007), followed up his pledge with one from Chris Braswell (2008) days later.

Now, John Thompson III has another recruit from the Class of 2008 headed to play for a school that is aiming to return to its dominance of the 1980's. We said it last week, but it bears repeating: the Hoyas are back and in a big way.

Jason Clark committed to the program Thursday night. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard out of Bishop O'Connell in Arlington, Va., was looking for a place around his house and he just happened to bump into Georgetown which is only 20 minutes down the road.

He had offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Clemson and Villanova.

"I just felt that it was the right place for me and nothing else was going to change my mind," Clark, a junior, said of his pledge.

Clearly excited about joining a team zipping toward the top of college basketball's elite once again, Clark broke down the renewed expectations for the national championship caliber program.

"I know they got me Chris Wright, Chris Braswell and Austin. Put them players together and go after somebody else? That's crazy.

"The next couple of years … they'll have a good team this year and then in the up coming years I definitely think we're going to have a chance to win the whole thing."
