Home Cookin' Appeals To Gradnigo

Chris Gradnigo just took his name off the best availables board. The 6-foot-6 small forward, rated No. 30 at his position by Scout.com, is headed to a Sun Belt program.

Robert Lee's Louisiana-Lafayette program received a boost on the perimeter this week. Highly regarded wing Chris Gradnigo selected the Cajuns after visiting Notre Dame and Arkansas.

For the 6-foot-6 Lagrange High product, UL-Lafayette was all the home cooking he needed.

"I think they have a great group of young guys and we'll gel good together the next few years," Gradnigo told Scout.com.

The 21-point per game scorer saw an excellent opportunity to come in and play minutes early in his career and that was appealing to him in the process. "I think I can come in and play right away to help the program."

There's little doubt he can. Gradnigo graded out as the No. 30 small forward in the nation after the summer.
