Herb Sendek's squad received a commitment from Hill School and St. Kitts native Kraidon Woods this week.
"He's excited. It's a great opportunity for him," Hill coach Seth Eilberg told Scout.com. "It's a first class staff and operation and we couldn't be more excited for him."
The Sun Devils locked him down right before things were about to get hot and heavy." The Atlantic 10 was dying to get him – URI, LaSalle, St. Joe's, Temple, UMass. Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Virginia started calling," Eilberg said. "Vanderbilt was real interested but he didn't get very far with a lot of people. He went through the process a couple of years ago and had that advantage."
Woods, an original Villanova commitment from the Class of 2006, has made strides with his game since last season spent in the Poconos.
"We're very impressed with his upside and athleticism and skills. He's a great kid and he fits in well at Hill. He's physically developing and that's part of his improvement. He's improved his body in two short months.
"He's stronger and he's more confident because of that. His skill sets makes his versatile and that's a good fit with the way Arizona State wants to play."
