Bizoukas Finds Big East Home

Michael Bizoukas didn't take much time to decide his next move. After de-committing from Northern Iowa he's off to the Big East.

Things happened quickly with Michael Bizoukas. The 6-foot floor general from Munster (Ind.) High went from committed to Northern Iowa to pledging to DePaul. A weekend visit to DePaul yielded commitment days after Bizoukas withdrew his pledge to the mid-major power.

"They showed some soft interest in April and May and then they turned their focus somewhere else when Mike committed to Northern Iowa," CAPS AAU coach Eric Cole told Scout.com. "He de-committed and they lost out on Derrick Rose and it was the right place, right time."

St. Louis, SMU and Nevada all jumped in on Cole after news broke that he was looking elsewhere. The heady floor general would have been an all-league type for UNI. He's one of those kids who plays with great poise, purpose and loads up on the intangibles.

"I think he's got a real opportunity to do some good things there," Cole said. "They have a need at the point guard position. A lot of people are going to doubt him but I've seen him play against anybody and everybody … he's played against good players and they didn't beat Mike."

DePaul has a recruiting class that is going to rank in the Scout.com Top 20 this week.
