"The situation is perfect," Tucker said. "I could start as a freshman and I want to be a part of building something special here in San Diego. Coach Holland attended every game I played during July from outdoors in New Jersey, to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Coach Holland told me I was the cornerstone of what they are going to accomplish at USD, and that he would stop recruiting any point guards in the 2003 class if I was coming in 2004."
As a two-sport athlete, Tucker rushed for over 1700 yards on the gridiron this past year, and was also selected to the All-State Sophomore Team by Cal-Hi Sports. Tucker, now becomes the first member of the Southern California Basketball Class of 2004 to commit to a college.
