Post Summer Rankings: 2003 SGs

The shooting guard class of 2003 contains several very interesting high major prospects, including Lorenzo Wade, Omar Wilkes and Thomas Gardner, among others...

Lorenzo Wade remains the #1 ranked shooting guard in the west after an impressive series of performances in July. Long and athletic, Wade has the biggest upside of any player on our list. Omar Wilkes shot the ball very well this summer and he's also grown a bit in the last year. One of the smarter players in this class, Wilkes has great intangibles and he'll be a great addition to whichever program he chooses. Thomas Gardner has also grown a little in the last year and he might be the best shooter in this group. Lodrick and Rodrick Stewart are great athletes, who compete very well, but they need to change their approach to the game in order to succeed at the next level. If they can learn to play within a team concept, they have a chance to be impact players in college.
