Eshaunte Jones: Bear of a Pickup

Eshaunte Jones has already made up his mind that he'll head to prep school after his senior campaign at Fort Wayne Northside (Ind.) this season. Then the 6-foot-4 guard will head to college in the Big Ten.

Eshaunte Jones has decided to stay close to home.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound senior guard at Fort Wayne Northside (Ind.) committed to Indiana this afternoon, but he'll head to a prep school – likely Hargrave or Harmony – next season before arriving in Bloomington.

``I chose IU because I really like the coaching staff," Jones said. "I like the system they run and it's close to home."

Jones played for Blessed IJN in the summer and also considered Kentucky and Missouri.

``I like Kelvin Sampson and what he's doing," Jones added. "He showed a lot of interest in me and he's always had a reputation of winning.

``I'm so thankful I can be a Hoosier," he continued.
