Bolding selected the Cardinals over St. John's. He made his decision while on Louisville's campus during this weekend's unofficial visit.
"First of all, it's Rick Pitino and you can't pass that up," Bolding said. "I'm down here now and I love the fans and I'm happy to be a part of it.
"I fell in love with it – the campus, everything. Plus, it's Rick Pitino and that's my man. It was more than I thought it was. I thought it would be big but it's more. The whole campus is like a mini town. The fans are loyal and they treat you like an NBA player already."
Edgar Sosa's presence didn't hurt either. The New Yorker helped out in the pursuit of Bolding. The 6-foot-4 Bolding is Scout.com's No. 48 prospect in America and can play both the shooting guard and small forward position.
Now that he's committed, it's time for Bolding to turn his attention to recruiting and that means one guy: Tyreke Evans.
" I'm definitely trying to get Tyreke Evans here," Bolding said. "Definitely. Next year I'm going to American Christian and playing with Tyreke."
Bolding said that Louisville's plan for him gets him time on the wing and possibly at the point. "They're trying to get me to the next level. They'll probably have me mostly at the two guard. They're just trying to help me win."
