Leaders Emerge For Low

Gorman High forward Chris Low is really looking hard at five programs and it looks like his list is broken down into two tiers.

SMU Gets First Visit

Chris Low, a combo forward from Tyler (TX) Gorman, currently is listing Indiana, Arizona State, TCU, SMU and Tulane.

"I have a visit to SMU next weekend [Aug. 24] and some others have given me dates but I have to talk more with my parents and then get it done."

Low says that all of the schools on his list have offered or will in the future. "Indiana said they wanted to offer when I came up."

"Playing time is important and quality too. I don't want playing time on a team that's not going to be good. Also, the reputation of the school for basketball and after is important."

Most of the schools are recruiting Low as a combo forward. Last season, he averaged 24.5 points a game. He was a first-team all-state selection and averaged 15 boards a night. He once hit for 40 points and his career high in rebounds is 24.

"I think [I like] Arizona State, Indiana and TCU over SMU and Tulane. I really like TCU a lot."
