Green's List Not Getting Shorter

Eustis (FL) High's Wesley Green used a strong July showing to solidify his relationship with some schools. The charismatic center prospect is listing 10 schools these days.

Green Working On Trimming List

Wesley Green was real happy with his summer performance. Actually, it would have been hard to be anything but. The big man used a few venues to prove that he was deserving of a big camp invite and is a national Top 100 player.

"It's going great," Green said. "It's been great. When I left Nationals, Indiana jumped on. So did DePaul and Tennessee. Green lists Wake Forest, South Florida, Florida State, Miami, DePaul, Texas Tech, Indiana, Marquette, Arkansas and Tennessee as schools he's presently interested in. "I'm taking this one day at a time," Green said. He doesn't have any official visits planned but is very close on his ACT.

Previously, North Carolina had been keeping in touch with him. Green says he doesn't feel like the Heels are on him any longer. "I think they are going to try and sign that Brian Butch kid."

Green, whose father played at Wake Forest and was an NBA draft selection, isn't in a hurry to decide. "I guess [I'll decide] whenever God tells me. Then, I'll tell everybody. A lot of kids let that bother them more than they are supposed to."

Green's a big boy, but not as big as we've given him credit for. "Mr. Telep, I can move a little bit. I ain't Eddy Curry. I read where you tried to make me 300 pounds." Alright big guy, we'll go with 275, just for you.
