Peyton Siva, a 5-11 sophomore guard from Seattle, Wash., is a talented scorer with explosive leaping ability. While he's still a long way from choosing a college, he told us recently that he has a couple schools at the top of his early list...
, 5-11 SO PG/SG Seattle (Wash.) Franklin, is an explosive athlete with a scorer's mentality. Siva has a solid stroke with three-point range and the ability to create his own shot. He's more of a scoring lead guard than a true point, but he's quite talented for a young guard.
We spoke with Siva at the Torrey Pines tournament and asked him about the schools that interest him.
"Washington and Arizona are two schools that I like," said Siva.
When asked about other schools that he would consider, Siva replied, "Gonzaga and Florida."
Siva talked a little about the factors he'll consider when choosing a school.
"I'd kind of like to stay close to home," said Siva. "I want to play up-tempo and I would like to play early. My grandmother would like me to stay close to home."
We asked Siva if he had a dream school when he was younger.
"North Carolina -- they have a great program and they like to run," said Siva.
Siva said he doesn't see himself making an early decision.
"I'd like to wait on my decision and do it right before my senior year," said Siva.
Siva told us he has a 4.0 GPA.
