2002 Roster Additions
Forward Dion Dacons, the main holdover from last year's successful Oak Hill team will once again have plenty of friends in Mouth of Wilson, Va.
Head coach Steve Smith told TheInsidersHoops.com that once classes start next week, as many as 8 new blue chippers will be on campus.
Headlining the group is McDonald's All-American candidate Ivan Harris. The Buckeyes future forward had a terrific summer and he's the top-ranked player on the Warriors roster this season. Joining him inside is Baltimore-area native Byron Joynes and southerner Warren Scott of New Orleans.
Even with a quality group of inside players, Oak Hill might be tempted to play a dearth of backcourt kids at the same time. Recent UConn commitment Marcus Williams should handle the point guard duties. Virginia commitment JR Reynolds can assist at both guard slots while junior Isaiah Swann can feel free to roam around in almost a designated scorer type role. As a unit, Reynolds, Swann and Williams comprise an extremely strong backcourt.
But wait, there could be more. Churchill Odia Ehis, a 6-4 potential junior guard from Nigeria, is considering the school and his versatility on the perimeter would be another weapon for the once-again loaded Warriors.
