Five Remain For Forward
"It's not easy," Lolita Ariza, Trevor Ariza's mom said. "Looking at the situations and what's best for him so he can have an immediate impact immediately. You have to look into the situation and see what options are mutually beneficial."
With that said, five schools remain in the hunt. They are UNLV, Florida, Indiana, Southern Cal and Georgia. UNLV has a Sept. 6 visit scheduled and Florida's official trip is slated for Midnight Madness. Indiana, Southern Cal and Georgia are working on visit dates.
"I'm just going to go through the process," Trevor said. "Everybody has been great. They all offered scholarships."
Meanwhile, Ariza is using his free time wisely. His mother said he's worked out with Kobe Bryant twice as well as DeShaun Stevenson and Dale Davis. "I'm not worried about him playing or earning a spot," his mother said. "He's doing phenomenal.
"He's gained weight. He's about 205 now. His arms are bigger. His legs are bigger and he grew half and inch. He's working hard."
